Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and whosoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.
Holy Quran 5:32 I wonder, if this Ayaah of Quraan shareef, was missed by those terrorists who find their inspirations from religon, or is that they failed to comprehend the meaning of this great Ayaah! In either case, this loss of data, in comprehension is posing a serious threat to humanity, and bringing a bad name to the religion itself. The news at Rediff about Naga Naresh Karutura, an IITian from Chennai, is seriously touchy and emotional to the core. Rediff says, Naresh is special. I will say he is more than special for me. Who found his way, against all odds, and made each one of us proud. Such news really inspires me, motivates me, whenever I am down, and help me gain strength back. I feel like saluting this master. May Allah, give all the due success to you in your life. Amen. Be first to comment this article | Add as favourites (76) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 591 |

The programme at IBN LIVE , made me nostalgiac, and I decided to dedicate few moments to one of the greatest voice Indian Radio ever had, Mr Ameen Sayani. How many of us, can afford to forget the legendary voice of Cibaaca geetmaala fame. "Jee haaanm to is hafte kaa gaana number ek hai..." Interview excerpts "...When I was about seven, he started taking me to All India Radio and started introducing me to English broadcasting. So from the age of seven till 16, I was an English broadcaster. I hadn’t studied Hindi or Urdu extensively..." suggest what a talent this man had. Even the advertisers of today, tries to immitate him, by one way or another. I wish, I could again tune in back to those days to listen pathaan kot se Goldi, Jhumri tellaiya se pappu :) Comments (1) | Add as favourites (29) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 639 |

"No yaar, got work in office.. you know the condition of Prepaid these days", was the usual response we were getting when we were planning for Salzbarg, last friday. Very few showed real enthu, for a trip to Austria, but then amidst uncertainities we finalized the trip to Austria. Nagappan (excuse me for Spelling mistake if any ) who has been to Salzburg before, came to the resuce, with final planning for the trip. And in total, ten of us, agreed to join the trip... 8:15, in the morning was scheduled time to meet at Munich Hauptbahnoff. Getting up on a weekend morning, and that too when you have not slept well for the entire week, is really a difficult task, but fortunately we all managed to reach station, in time.. just in time. Except for Purna, who got some last moment work, we all were there... Be first to comment this article | Add as favourites (23) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 281 |

The Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site guide book says : The Memorial Site on the grounds of the former concentration camp was established in 1965 on the initiative of and in accordance with the plans of the surviving prisoners who had joind together to form the Comité International de Dachau.
On March 22, 1933, a few weeks after Adolf Hitler had been appointed Reich Chancellor, a concentration camp for political prisoners was set up in Dachau. This camp served for a model for all later concentration camps and as a “school of violence” for the SS men under whose command it stood. In the twelve years of its existence over 200,000 persons from all over Europe were imprisoned here and in the numerous subsidiary camps. More than 43,000 of them died. On April 29 1945, American troops liberated the survivors.
The Jourhaus was the only entrance to the prisoner camp. “Work sets you free” was set in the middle of the gate.
Located in the maintenance building (today the site of the exhibition, the movie theater, administration offices, archive, library and study rooms) were kitchen, the clothing store, workshops, and the baths. Written in large letters across the roof of the building was: “There is one path to freedom. Its milestones are:’Obedience, honesty, cleanliness, sobriety, diligence, orderliness, sacrifice, truthfulness, love of the fatherland.’”..
